Punjab govt to file appeal in apex court against HC ruling on CPSes

8A day after Punjab and Haryana high court quashed the appointment of 18 chief parliamentary secretaries (CPSes) in the SAD-BJP government of Punjab, chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Saturday said the government will appeal against the orders in Supreme Court.
“I have not read the complete order but I talked with advocate general to challenge the order in Supreme Court”, said Badal, adding that he would not comment on the ruling.
The CM was in Jalandhar for his sangat darshan (public contact) programme at Bhatnura Lubana village in Adampur assembly segment.
He said he will go to Chandigarh in the evening and discuss the issue with all those concerned.
When asked whether the government will go to high court against the acquittal of former DSP and drug accused Jagdish Singh Bhola and others in 1-kg heroin recovery case by local court on Thursday, Badal said all such developments will be discussed as he had been in Jalandhar since Friday morning.
