Winnipeg police will be providing an update on a homicide Wednesday morning.

The update is expected to focus on the investigation into the partial remains of a woman found on the banks of the Red River in mid-April.

At the time, police said they were engaged in a ‘detailed, lengthy’ investigation to determine the woman’s identity, and would be using all the tools at their disposal, including DNA testing.
