Government- Sandhwan
Edmonton(ATB): “We are committed for corruption free Government and our
five months of working has adequately demonstrated to our voters” expressed
Mr Kultar Singh Sandhwan, Speaker, Punjab Legislative Assembly while
addressing select audience at Meet & Greet event hosted by Devinder Toor,
Calgary-Falconridge MLA at Federal Building, Edmonton on September 03, 2022.
“Punjab Government spend INR 15.69 crore every month to provide security to
VIPs which include 65 facing criminal charges whereas minorities like Christians
face physical assault and criminals attack their congregation with swords” said
Yash Sharma, Editor-in-Chief, Asian Tribune.

“Our Government is looking into this as it is a straw incident and people having
ulterior motives are trying to create unrest and bring bad name to us as Govt.”
explained Sandhwan.
“Also, most of our folks in Punjab have been regularly demanding that to
control drugs menace, gangsters and killing of innocents, Kunwar Vijay Partap
Singh, former IPS officer and Amritsar North MLA should be installed as Home
Minister” further stated Sharma.
“I myself is a great friend of Kunwar Sahib and I will bring this in the knowledge
of our Captain (Chief Minister)”, clarified Sandhwan.
“Governments of Alberta and Punjab executed two MOUs and they never see
the light of the day. We hardly have four months to grow crops whereas Punjab
has crop cycle throughout the year and thus we wanted to collaborate on
Agricultural Genetics R & D” echoed Naresh Bhardwaj and Peter Sandhu, former
Associate Minister and MLA.

Both Governments signed MOUs on Nov 06, 2010 and February 08, 2019 to
address developments concerning Energy, Agriculture, Environment
Management, Aerospace, Defence, Hospitality and retail.
“I do not think our Government can re-invent the wheel. However, we will start
afresh and will like to establish mutually rewarding relationship between both
the Provinces” stated Sandhwan.
“Your Government should have more ministries to off load burden and expedite
decision process. Also, NRIs are unable to obtain Cell Phones while visiting India

as Adhhar Card is demanded. Our passports should be good enough. “brought
up Varinder Garewal, local Hotelier.
“Ministers are appointed on set ratio calculations. However, the second concern
will surely be acted upon “said Sandhwan.
Nishan Sandhu, Gurchan Gill and Advocate Ms. Nimrata Shergill are
coordinating Speaker’s visit and connecting our community in various cities.
Speaker is on official visit and made it a point to meet Punjabi community to
have feel of their concerns.
