Chamber of AAP MLA Yadav’s lawyer in Quran sacrilege case vandalised

Unidentified people vandalised the Nabha Bar Association chief Gian Singh Mungo’s chamber on Monday night. Mungo is one of the panellists of lawyers contesting the case of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Delhi MLA Naresh Yadav, who is accused in the Malerkotla Quran sacrilege case.
Mungo’s junior Sukhdeep Singh, who reached the chamber on Tuesday morning, said the door was locked from outside and the window was also intact. There were blood stains on the floor and wall. A mobile phone was also found in the chamber, he said.
Deputy superintendent of police (DSP) Manpreet Singh said the watchman was found in an inebriated condition and the police would questioned him.
“We are clueless how, why and what has happened in the hindsight. Somebody had cleaned the bloodstains outside the chamber. We were on strike and my junior opened the chamber and was surprised to see it vandalised,” said Mungo.
Former additional advocate general Mungo had recently switched over to the AAP from the Akali Dal.
