Beaumont(ATB): Hindu Society of Beaumont celebrated Diwali with gaiety and fervor at Beaumont Community Centre, Beaumont on November 09, 2025.
Diwali celebrates the victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance. This spiritual victory is celebrated through various legends, including the return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after his 14-year exile.
More than 200 participants enjoyed the various performances put together followed by delicious dinner.
Brandon Lunty, Leduc-Beaumont MLA, Beaumont Councilors’ Paul Heide & Phiilip Penrod and Leduc County Councilor Dal Virdi graced the event and exchanged greetings on behalf of the Provincial and Municipal Governments.
Volunteers were appreciated by presenting Certificates of recognition.
VTV Punjabi TV Channel and MyRadio 580 am provided media support.
Spirit of India Kitchen + Bar, Edmonton sponsored dinner.
Varun Katyal of Qala Troupe emceed the event and also enthralled the audience with his mind blowing performance.
“This is our 14th event since our inception three years ago and we are overwhelmed with the involvement of our community as well as our elected representatives” expressed Yash Sharma, President, Hindu Society of Beaumont while thanking attendees, volunteers and sponsors.
