Edmonton (ATB): Alberta Party declared Yash Sharma as an Official Candidate for Edmonton-Ellerslie.
Yash did his Masters in Chemistry and Diploma in Marketing Management from the renowned University of India, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
While studding, he was actively involved in Student politics and community events like Blood Donation Camps, Fundraising events and Charity shows.
Consequent upon completion of education, Yash worked with various reputed Industrial Houses and Multinationals in India.
Yash immigrated to Canada in 2004 and after brief stay at Winnipeg moved to Edmonton in 2006.
Yash worked for Nalco Canada and GE (Water & Process), Canada in service/sales Department as Sales Account Manager.
In 2010, he launched multilingual South Asian newspaper “Asian Tribune” as Publisher/Editor-in-Chief and also started producing multilingual South Asian TV show “Harmony” in 2013.
Since then, he is actively involved in South Asian and Western communities and also fundraised for new premises of Mill Woods Senior & Multicultural Center, Edmonton Food Bank, Helping Hands for Humanity Center, Edmonton Down Syndrome Society and MAA (Multivision Association of Alberta).
Yash was on the Business Recruitment Team of Town of Sylvan Lake and provided his inputs on various big ticket projects as well as investment attraction strategy.
Yash is a President of MAA (Multivision Association of Alberta), President of Indo-Canadian Media Club of Alberta and life member of Bhartiya Cultural Society of Alberta, Millwoods Ex-servicemen Association and Millwoods Cultural Society of Retired and Semi-Retired.
“My passion is to serve our communities and address the peoples’ concern about the divisive and polarized Albertan politics full of hatred” expressed Yash while addressing media.
