Edmonton (ATB): This week the construction schedule for the Trans Mountain Pipeline expansion was released. New work starts this month as was a condition of Alberta’s financial involvement – and the project is scheduled to be completed by December 2020.
As Canadians, we are all owners of the pipeline, so it’s important we stay up to date on its progress. The summary of highlights from the construction schedule are Surveying, staking and clearing activities begin in Alberta later this month, These activities will take place in Spruce Grove, Stony Plain, Parkland County, Wabamun, Yellowhead County, Edson and Hinton, Work starts in the North Thompson region of B.C. in September
And additional construction is planned in the Lower Mainland of B.C. and the work at Westridge Marine Terminal in Burnaby, which has been underway since September 2017, will continueThe Trans Mountain pipeline expansion is an important national project that will create tens of thousands of jobs and billions in government revenue by opening up new markets.
