Calgary(ATB): “Bodybuilding runs in my blood” expressed Professional
Bodybuilder Jagjit Singh, President of UIBFF (United Intercontinental
Bodybuilding Fitness federation), Canada, four times Mr. World and two times
Mr. Universe title holder (2018).
Jagjit belongs to clan of Bodybuilders as his father Gurcharan Singh was
National Champion in powerlifting and his brother, Inder Mohan Singh is
already an International Bodybuilder.
Jagjit was born in Ambala(Haryana). However, he took a plunge in bodybuilding
while residing at Jalandhar(Punjab).
34 years’ lad has already put in 20 years into Bodybuilding and has built his
career as “Professional/Personal Trainer”
Jagjit recently bagged One Gold, One Silver and Two Bronze Medals (75 Kg
Category) in Open Mr. Alberta and Natural Open Bodybuilding Championship held on 14 th November, 2020 at Seven Chiefs Sportsplex & Jim Starlight Centre,
Calgary.
While answering to the question about bodybuilding consuming “Powder”,
Jagjit stated that there is nothing wrong using powder as the source of protein.
However, he consumes 25 eggs or One-pound Chicken daily to meet his dietary
needs.
Also, while countering another question about health problems of Wrestlers in
old age, Jagjit clarified that Bodybuilders remain fit and fine in old age because
of requisite weightlifting whereas light weightlifting or pushes yield health
issues in case of wrestlers.
“I have built my career in bodybuilding with full devotion and am also
determined to ensure that our youth is attracted to this field to shun
drug/alcohol addiction “said Jagjit.
Jagjit immigrated to Canada in 2017 and is leading happy life at Calgary along
with wife, Ramandeep Kaur and son, Shajjot Singh (3 years).
