Himachal Mitra Mandal organized “Dhaam”

Edmonton (ATB): The Himachal Mitra Mandal Association Edmonton, Alberta, organized a vibrant and culturally rich celebration of Himachal Diwas 2024 at Hindu Society of Alberta Temple, Edmonton last week.

Himachal Diwas holds immense significance in the cultural calendar of Himachal Pradesh, India. Observed on April 15th every year, it marks the day when Himachal Pradesh was established as an independent Province. This occasion serves as a reminder of the rich cultural heritage, traditions, and unity of the people of Himachal Pradesh.

Besides the feast of the delectable food, the event fostered a sense of community and togetherness among attendees. Bhajans, devotional songs, were chanted by group members, filling the air with spiritual fervor and unity. 

The community kitchen, bustling with activity as members collaborated to prepare the feast, epitomized the spirit of camaraderie and cooperation.

Arvind Sharma (President), Govind Sood:(General Secretary), Amar Thakur (Administration), Sudhir Thakur(Treasurer) and Vidyasagar Sharma (Director Social Events) were also introduced as newly elected Board.

“Our community should look forward to our various initiatives to ensure that we have lively moments and all are tuned to our rich culture and heritage” expressed Arvind.

Yash Sharma, Asian Tribune Publisher, Nixan Patel, Gujarati community leader and Rajeev Jolly also joined the festivities and exchanged greetings.
