Govt Launches Helpline To Deal With Mental Illness, Health News, ET HealthWorld

Govt launches helpline to deal with mental illnessBhubaneswar: The state government on Thursday issued phone numbers of skilled mental health professionals for extending psychological first aid and other support to Covid-19 positive/recovered patients and those suffering from mental illness.

The government will provide this service under the district mental health programme with the help of mental health institute (MHI) of SCB. It has provided three phone numbers for each district to consult with professionals without visiting hospitals during the pandemic.

“The helpline numbers will be functional from 10am to 5pm (Monday to Saturday). Each district has mental health professionals to resolve issues of people suffering from mental health problems. They can also take help from MHI,” an official said.
