Experts to deliberate on strengthening healthcare system post-pandemic at ET Healthcare Leaders’ SummitNew Delhi : A year and a half into the pandemic, India’s healthcare system which is still combating the COVID 19 pandemic has seen tough times. Weathering this scenario were the greatest minds of the country who took astute decisions in a very short duration of time, to cater to the growing healthcare needs of the citizens. At this juncture, The Economic Times Healthcare Leaders’ Summit, October 1, an initiative by ET Healthworld has brought together top leaders, all on one platform, to share their experiences of leading healthcare services during the once in a century pandemic and put forth their views on the most ravaging topic in the healthcare sector.

The Guest of Honour, Hon’ble T S Singh Deo, Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Chhattisgarh will bring in the government’s perspective on dealing with the COVID crisis and challenges that arose from it. Special Leadership Dialogue Session with Saurabh Gaur, IAS, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India on ‘Building a Future Ready Digital Health Ecosystem: Scope and Challenges’. The keynote address for the session will be delivered by Suneeta Reddy – Managing Director, The Apollo Hospitals Group which will focus on “Rising beyond Barriers.”

Realising the need to build a strong, resilient healthcare system that can withstand an unprecedented crisis in future, the summit will bring together leaders from top healthcare services to discuss, ideate and put forth suggestions, so as to make India’s healthcare system amongst the strongest in the world. This summit stems from two previous standalone events by ETHealthworld.com — Health Tech Summit and India Diagnostics Summit.

Economic Times Healthcare Leaders’ Summit will emphasise on each segment of healthcare including the key advancements, investments, and how to overcome the roadblocks for the sector’s progress.

Panel Discussions:

The summit will house panel discussions with top healthcare leaders in the country who will give insights on leading in a pandemic and building a stronger healthcare system. The topics chosen for deliberation by experts include Leading in Global Pandemic, How is the Healthcare Infrastructure Shaping up post Pandemic, Redefining and Revamping the Diagnostics in India, Impact of COVID-19 on SDGs : Progress and Setbacks and Fireside chats on some of the most pertinent issues in the healthcare sector.

The center point of discussion for panel one will be “How is the Healthcare Infrastructure Shaping up post Pandemic” which will deliberate upon the infrastructure development that has taken place in the healthcare sector and future plans upon improving health services.
