Stone pelting in Bengaluru breaks the calm, one detained

3One person was killed and two others injured in police firing on Monday night in tense Bengaluru, where curfew has been imposed in 16 sensitive localities.
Incidents of stone pelting have been reported from Heggenhalli in Bengaluru. One person has been detained in this regard.
The Bengaluru Police urges citizens not to pay heed to social media-fuelled rumours that were causing panic. In a bid to allay fear among citizens, police personnel took the help of social media. Through its Twitter handle @BlrCityPolice, they advised people to not believe or spread rumours and follow them for an accurate version of the proceedings.
The Hyderabad Police issues an advisory to all cable TV channels/cable TV network operators over protests in Bengaluru and said no program shall be transmitted in the cable service which is likely to incite violence or contains anything against maintenance of law and order.
Karnataka Law Minister TB Jayachandra urges citizens to maintain law and order. He assures to take positive steps in the interest of farmers of Karnataka.
