Hyderabad: This could spell a major trouble for AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi!
In a major setback to Owaisi, a complaint has been filed against him over his statement of offering legal aid to terror suspects arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in Hyderabad for their alleged involvement in an Islamic State terror module.
Details of the complaint
The complaint has been filed at the Saroor Nagar Police Station of Cyberabad.
In the complaint filed under the subject ‘complaint against Hyderabad MP Assaduddin Owaisi for his inflammatory remarks boosting the morale of anti-nationals’ it is said, “the stand of Owaisi is giving oxygen to terrorist and that he is seen as standing with extremists.”
‘Owaisi is directly or indirectly helping the ISIS’
“Owaisi is directly or indirectly helping the ISIS which had come up with a video in which it threatened to target India.
“This is betrayal of the country,” the complaint added.
What did Owaisi say for helping IS suspects?
Owaisi on Friday said his party would provide legal help to the youth arrested by the NIA on charges of involvement in an alleged ISIS terror module.
He also asserted that his party does not support terrorism.
