2 people injured in North York shooting, man dead in Vaughan shooting: police – Toronto

Toronto police said early Thursday that a man and a woman were injured after a shooting in North York, while York Regional Police say a man died after a shooting in Vaughan.

A shooting in the area of Keele Street and Sheppard Avenue was reported at around 4 a.m.

Paramedics said they took two people to a local hospital in serious condition.

Meanwhile, up in York Region, police there said officers responded to a weapons call in the area of Dufferin Street and Summeridge Drive in Vaughan at 3:45 a.m.

York Regional Police said they found a man at the side of the road. He was suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died and homicide detectives have taken over the investigation, police said,

York Police said they are working with Toronto police as they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds a short time later.

Toronto police told Global News the two incidents are believed to be related.

No information on suspects was released.
