Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma solemnised their marriage in presence of family and close friends.
Mumbai: Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have exchanged marital vows in traditional Punjabi style in an intimate wedding ceremony in Italy on December 11, Monday. They solemnised their marriage in presence of family and close friends and are will host a reception for relatives in Delhi on December 21 followed by another bash in the city soon for film industry friends and cricketers.
The couple broke the news by tweeting about their marital union.
Their friends and colleagues took to Twitter to wish them a very happy married life.
The Indian cricket team’s captain and the Bollywood star remained tight-lipped about their marriage and didn’t utter a word even as speculations were rife. Their spokesperson refuted rumours of their marriage saying it’s baseless. But probably the couple wanted their marriage ceremony to be a hush-hush one and hence preferred privacy over public announcement.
According to a report in India.com, during an episode of ‘Breakfast with Champions, Virat heaped praises on his lady love. He said, “It’s the magic of my lady luck. I didn’t have any senses before, but ever since the lady has come into my life, she has taught me a lot of things. So I have grown better in the last four years. My intelligence has grown in these years with her. She has taught me manners, kept me calm. Also, she taught me how to utilize your potential to the fullest at whatever point you are in your life.”
