Edmonton(ATB): Satpaul Kaushal, Associate Editor of Asian Tribune and
the President of Global Pravasi Seniors Society, Calgary has been
appointed as Notary Public by the Government of Alberta.
Satpaul is native of village Achharwal District Ludhiana, Punjab and got
primary education from Government Primary School, Pherurain, District
Ludhiana, Punjab.
He passed matriculation with honours from Punjab university became JBT
(Junior Basic Training) teacher for Primary School at Jagraon.
He served as a teacher and did bachelors in 1965 privately from Punjab
university. In1967, he did Bachelors of Education (B.Ed.) from G H G
Khalsa College of Education Gurusar Sudhar ranking as the top performer.
Subsequently, he completed Masters in Political Science 1970 and started
doing social work and teaching in Punjab.
He worked in various schools and earned laurels.
With the help of community, he constructed school building at Mahil Khurd,
Pherurain, Acharwal Nurpuar Talwandi Rai, District Ludhiana
He was selected Headmaster through PPSC (Punjab Public Service
Commission) in 1989 and was promoted as Principal in 1996.
He came in Canada 1989.
He reinvented himself at Canada starting as Labourer and creating his
niche in community as the respected community leader.
He with other associates registered an NGO, Global Pravasi Seniors
Society on March 23 2012.
Since then, he is Founder President and serving till now in the same
position.
This NGO is working for Senior’s entertainment/well being and helping
them with paper work for Governmental benefits and Indian travel
documents.
He arranged seminars in collaboration with Universal Pharmacare in
Canada and through City councillors is addressing seniors’ concern to get
transit passes hassle free.
Also, He is working hard to attract Provincial Government’s attention for
free medicines to low income seniors.
