Though normal life has been partially hit due to rainfall, it has not caused any traffic snarls across the city so far.
Earlier, the weather department had said that the city is likely to experience a spell or two of rain or thundershowers today.
Other parts of the city are also likely to receive heavy rainfall in coming days.
As per reports, trains on western line from Churchgate to Borivali are running a bit late.
Within minutes of spells, the sky in the city and adjoining areas turned dark as heavy clouds covered the entire city.
The city residents didn’t miss the opportunity and took to Twitter to share the pictures.
Meanwhile, BMC Disaster Management Control Department said that a thundershower is likely to occur towards evening and night.
