Fire breaks out at Lucknow’s SSJ International hotel, five people rescued

A massive fire broke out at a popular hotel in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Lucknow: A massive fire broke out at a popular hotel in Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow in the wee hours of Tuesday.
The fire was reported at the first floor of the SSJ International hotel in Charbagh locality in Lucknow. The fire quickly spread to other areas and engulfed an under-construction building and another hotel.
At least five people have been rescued and rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment.
Fire brigade officials have reached the spot and efforts are on douse the fire.
The authorities are also conducting a massive search operation to ensure that no one is still trapped inside the most affected portion of the hotel.
It is still not known as to what caused the fire. An investigation is also underway, the reports said.
