Edmonton(ATB): “We are overwhelmed with joy while celebrating Rama’s
consecration in a temple Ram Temple which took 500 years to get established”

attended event organized above Millwoods Library on January 21 st , 2024.

Babur, the founder of Mughal Empire in India did so many atrocities upon Hindus
in his regime during from 1526 to 1530.
He demolished so many Hindu temples and converted them to mosques.
Babri Masjid-Ram Mandir had been the prolonged dispute between Hindus and
Muslims of India.

However, in 2019, the Supreme Court of India delivered the verdict to give the
disputed land to Hindus for the construction of Temple.
Rama, an incarnation of Vishnu, is a Hindu deity and according to the ancient
Indian epic, Ramayana, Rama was born in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India.

The magnificent black stone idol Ram Lalla (infant form of Rama) has been crafted
by Karnataka based sculptor Arun Yogiraj.
Jackie Lovely, Camrose MLA represented Premier and Government of Alberta and
exchanged greetings with the attendees.

Puneet Manchanda, President of Council of India Societies of Edmonton also
joined the festivities and greeted all.
Prominent Guajarati seniors like Pravinbhai Panchal, Ramesh Mistry, Ramesh
Trivedi, Bharat Vyas, Yogeshbhai Shah, Amrutbhai Patel, Jagadish Patel, Nanubhai
Vyas came forward to volunteer and support the event.

“Sunderkand” path was performed and parshadam was distributed on the
completion of path and aarti.

More than 200 attendees enjoyed the event and expressed their happiness for
organizing the successful event on this auspicious occasion.
