Asian Tribune applauded

Calgary(ATB): “It is a matter of pride for community that Asian Tribune is serving
for the last 12 years and catering to English, Hindi and Punjabi readers” expressed
Hon Prasad Panda, Alberta Transportation Minister at an appreciation dinner
hosted by Asian Tribune Calgary team at The Mongolia Banquet Hall, Calgary on
September 17, 2022.

“I should not brag, however, I and my paper have so many firsts. I brought our
first trilingual newspaper to cater to English, Hindi and Punjabi readership. I was
the first South Asian Albertan journalist to attend G8/G20 at Toronto in 2010. I
was the first South Asian on the advisory board of Town of Sylvan Lake. I am the
first South Asian on Beaumont Community Events Committee and I am the first to
host such event where fellow journalists and community leaders are together”
narrated Yash Sharma, Editor in Chief & Publisher of Asian Tribune.
“This is prideful moment for me as I helped to survive newspaper in roller coaster
days and had been circulating with my own hands from 2010 to 2017” stated
overwhelmed Sat Paul Kaushal, Associate Editor.
“Sharma earn my accolades as it is not an easy task to run community paper for
the last twelve years uninterruptedly facing financial as well as logistics
challenges” said Hon George Chahal, Calgary Skyview M P.
“I am very much delighted that Sharma made us inclusive and created the
precedent of cooperative media fraternity” stated Harbans Buttar, Chief Editor of
Punjabi Akhhbar.
