Rahul Gandhi, with his simplicity, can defeat Narendra Modi: Congress leader Raj Babbar

New Delhi: Even as the Congress grapples to find ways to contain the NaMo wave, Uttar Pradesh Congress unit chief Raj Babbar, Friday, said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi can be defeated by party vice president Rahul Gandhi.
Speaking to the reporters, Babbar said, “If anyone can defeat PM Modi, its’ Rahul Gandhi’s simplicity.”
Babbar’s comments come as the Congress-Samajwadi Party alliance was decimated in the recently concluded Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections.
BJP and its allied partners won a massive majority by bagging 325 seats out of the total 403 Assembly seats.
While SP-Congress combine managed 56 seats, Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) faired poorly with just 19 seats in its kitty.
Congress Uttar Pradesh chief Raj Babbar had offered to quit the post following the partys rout in Assembly polls.
Rahul Gandhi has said the party needs structural and organisational changes following its debacle in the Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Assembly polls even as party leaders said there was need for tough decisions in the party.
