Telangana caretaker Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) supremo on Thursday lashed out at a person who questioned him over his promise of 12% reservation for members of minority community. The TRS chief reacted angrily to the question raised at a public rally in Asifabad and the same was caught on camera.
When the person interrupted KCR’s speech and asked him about the 12% reservation promise, the caretaker Chief Minister retorted angrily saying, “Khamosh Baitho (sit silently)”.
“Wahin 12% hi bole, baitho khamosh baitho, baith jao…tumhare baap ko bolun? (I said 12% only. Sit silently. Should I tell your father now?),” said the TRS chief.
The incident was caught on camera and widely circulated on social media platforms.
The caretaker Chief Minister of Telangana reportedly alleged later that the man could have been sent to his rally by some opposition party.
According to a report in The Times of India, the TRS chief said that though his government had pushed for 12% reservation for members of Muslim community, he did not get a “positive response” from the central government.
The polling in Telangana is slated to be held on December 7, and the results of the Assembly elections will be declared on December 11.
