Edmonton(ATB): “I am overwhelmed with joy and thank our community for the
grand success of 16 th Ram Leela & Dusshera celebrations” expressed Arvind Aery,
President of Bhartiya Cultural Society of Alberta, Edmonton and driving force
behind Ram Leela display.
Both events were organized consecutively on October 8 th /9 th and more than 5000
attendees had the glimpse of Hindu culture and faith.
“We are committed to connect our community to our roots and plan number of
events on a yearly basis to get involved our coming generations in particular so
that they become torch bearers of faith and lead an exemplary life” stated Rama
Airi, Vice President (Admn) of BCSA.
“I will like to mention that this time we involved adult kids who are born and
raised in Canada to enable them to understand Hinduism in a better way and also
become role models to others” said Arvind.
Ram (Om Aery), Lakshman (Chaitanya Gautam), Ravana (Surinder Dasaur), Sita
(Purva Thakur), Hanuman (Niranjan Dadhwal), Dashrath (Sachin Malik), Kaikeyi
(Shikha Chyniyal) and Meghnath (Varun Katyal) showcased mind blowing
performances and enthralled the audience.
“Please bookmark Monday, October 24 th to join Diwali Celebrations at our Temple
from 6 pm to 8.30 pm. Temple will be open the whole day so that devotees can
visit and get blessings of Maa Lakshmi” informed Arvind.
